Here's the bio from the old Windham Hill site:

Singer/songwriter Kristen Hall released her debut album Real Life Stuff in 1990. The disc earned the singer a publishing contract with BMG, and created a buzz among music lovers in Hall's hometown of Atlanta. Soon after, Hall was touring the country with a pair of fellow Atlantans, Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. Hall released her next album, the affecting Fact & Fiction (1992), on Ray's Daemon Records. The favorable press Hall garnered for her records and live shows proved too glowing for High Street to ignore and the label signed the singer in 1993, remastering and reissuing Fact & Fiction in the process.

A milestone both professional and personally, Be Careful What You Wish For... is the product of a musical explorer at the peak of her emotional and musical powers. Both therapeutic and euphonic, Kristen Hall's music creates new vistas in the heart that listeners can go back to again and again to marvel at the view.

You may not recognize the name, but you do know her. She's your raspy-voiced friend who falls in love too often and too hard. She comes to you frequently with a heartful of ache, questioning the inexplicability of love and the reason for her existence. But there's a difference between your average lovelorn crybaby and Kristen Hall, who pours it all out in shimmering, acoustic guitar soaked songs that poignantly detail the rise and fall of her heart...So, be a pal and invite her over. She could use a good ear.

Be Careful What You Wish For... is her second release with Highstreet Records, Windham Hill's singer-songwriter/alternative imprint. By bringing vocal tracks to the foreground of the mix, the new release increases the intimacy of Hall's straightforward and, at times, unnerving lyrics. Some of Hall's listeners have shown up to lend their talents on Be Careful What You Wish For.... They include: Matthew Sweet (Zoo), Emily Saliers (Indigo Girls) and Sara Lee (Gang of Four), Jules Shear (Polydor), John Sebastian (Epic), Jerry Marotta, Kristian Bush (Atlantic), Bill Dillon.
